Election website iElect has launched an info-website for the 2010 Australian Federal Election on the back of its success during the recent Tasmanian State Election.

The new website which is believed to be the first of its kind in the country, will cover the latest real-time election news, exclusive blogs and the unique iElect prediction game.

The website had been collectively built by two Tasmanian IT companies, Future Medium and Sentralize.

It will feature articles from political bloggers throughout the election campaign to provide voters with a variety of insights into the election process. The bloggers include commentator Greg Barns, Daniel Liptak, Tony Nagy, and others who are looking to join us over the course of the election.

iElect's ‘iPredict’ game will again play its part as it did during the 2010 Tasmanian State Election, allowing voters to share their predictions of the election that will show a real-time snapshot of the nation's voting intentions.

The website will present the current swing, so people can see the reaction to any policy announcements. This engaging feature of the iElect website will be released shortly. The algorithm behind the game is being redeveloped for single member electorates, as opposed to the multi-member electorate process used in the Tasmanian election, to provide more accurate results.

Sentralize Managing Director, Byron Teu, said his company was delighted to be part of the iElect project for this year's election campaign to demonstrate the unique product to a national audience.

Future Medium Managing Director, Glen Johnson said his company wanted to help showcase Sentralize's technology in a way that would make a difference to everyone.

The iElect website for the 2010 Australian Federal Election is accessible via http://www.ielect.com.au.
